How we Select Christian Based

Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Programs

We undestand the disastrous and scary nature of drug and alcohol abuse and the havoc that can occur in Christian families.

We know from extensive experience that the problems faced by those you love almost always goes beyond the addiction problem. Other extremely important parts of life also need intervention and training.

Thus we have created an effective total program that has five main areas of focus.

  • The Nature of the Christian Emphasis
  • The Drug and Alcohol Recovery Program
  • An emphasis on developing and teaching critical Life Skills
  • A strong and respected Academic and Vocational Education
  • Addressing the Emotional and Personal Growth of our students.

These areas cannot be addressed as individual components, but must be interwoven by an excellent and caring staff to be effective in any program we recommend.

The Nature of the Christian Emphasis
We recommend only those Christian based programs that are solid in their use of Christian principles and scriptural use in the treatment process. We do not recommend programs that use only Christian cliches in their publicity and then ignore God in the rest of their program. We use programs that provide solid mentoring and discipling in their program. We make sure that you are fully aware of the methods and strategies they use as your loved one experiences a live changing revitalization and freeing from substance abuse.

The Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Program
We work only with programs who have Substance Abuse Counselors who are all fully licensed and trained. Some of the programs emphasize the Principles of Alcoholics Anonymous, and their students attend AA/NA meetings on a regular basis. Our programs guarantee that your son or daughter will have individual attention by a counselor who will work with them throughout the entire stay.

The Life Skills Emphasis
After recovery, life continues and we recommend programs whose graduating students are trained to live independently with enjoyment and success. While your teen or young adult is enrolled, our programs proactively teach and implement a well-directed program that enables the student to discover and practice the skills that are necessary for a successful and productive life.

The Academic and Vocational Education Component
Your child’s recovery into sobriety needs to be complemented by growth in academics or in helping him or her become prepared to succeed in a chosen vocation.

No matter where your child is academically, we have relationships with programs that will be just right for him or her, and will be taught by excellent and caring teachers.

We know from extensive experience that building something with your own hands or helping maintain the proper operation of a system does wonders toward developing a strong work ethic and create a genuine sense of self-worth and esteem. To facilitate those characteristics we have several programs that offer such courses general carpentry and woodshop classes, as well as instruction in facility maintenance.

Addressing Emotional and Personal Growth
For ongoing success after the drug and alcohol rehabilitation, it’s absolutely necessary that your son or daughter be given the opportunity and tools to mature emotionally and in his personal outlook on life. To that end we select programs that offer group and individual sessions, targeting issues of emotional growth and personal development.

These issues are interwoven throughout the entire program we recommend and are facilitated by committed staff who are skilled in utilizing the young adult’s daily experience to reflect upon their growth and continue to make important progress.
